In a dark post-apocalyptic world where nothing grows and food is scarce, a father and son are constantly trying to survive, find food, and keep journeying south where it will be warmer.

I really liked this book. Although it was dark and depressing, the writing style was incredible and kept me reading. I would recommend this book to people who liked sad books such as The Book Thief. The writing style in this book is not very straight forward, so I would recommend it for ages 12 and up.
