The Crime Report

The Crime
Eight deviled eggs missing from a tray

The Suspects
Truffle - A five year old cat, a domestic shorthair, famous for being loud.
Boo - A three year old dog, a goldendoodle, who is a known turkey drumstick thief.
Cream - A five year old domestic shorthair, known for chewing up clothes.

The Evidence

  • A thud of paws right after the crime, presumably from getting down from the counter
  • Claws scratching on the floor, when the criminal was getting away
  • Dog slobber on the tray of deviled eggs
The Conclusion
Due to the scratching of claws on the floor (Cats have retractable claws), and the dog slobber on the tray, we can conclude that the criminal was Boo. Her punishment is to be called a "BAD DOG" and to be put into the backyard.

    That was an awesome slice. My dog gets up on the table and is afraid to get down. Pets are strange.
